My love of Glossier products is pretty well-documented by now. And if I were truly (cruelly) made to choose only ONE to use for the rest of my life, Boy Brow wins, hands down. But I also want to talk about my deep love for their serum trio — aka The Supers — for a sec.
First, though, let’s just acknowledge that the serum world in an intimidating one. Couple that with the fact that they can be some of the most expensive skincare products on the market, and it’s easy to see why plenty of women skip adding serum to their routines altogether. I mean, why add another step and potentially pricey product that may or may not work for your skin type? It’s altogether mystifying.
That’s where The Supers come in, Glossier’s answer to the serum conundrum. Launched last fall, they simplify this otherwise confusing product category. See, at their essence (pun sort of intended), serums are just super-concentrated active ingredient formulas that deliver a straight shot of benefits to your skin. They’re applied after cleansing and before moisturizer, and generally target specific concerns like redness, dryness, aging, etc. etc.
So, Glossier created three simple serums that target common skin issues and complaints. Meet The Supers:
Since I write many of my blog posts late at night, I’ve definitely fallen victim to “lack of sleep” skin. You know…that dull, tired look and feeling. It’s a good one. Super Glow has a combination of vitamin C and magnesium to help counteract “lack of sleep” skin, so no one will know you didn’t get a full eight hours. Well, the yawning might give it away…
Redness? Breakouts? Super Pure is your answer. Niacinamide (vitamin B3) and zinc help to flush out impurities brought on by stress, junk food, etc. Fool everyone into thinking you’re a paragon of clean eating by using this bad boy.
Last but certainly not least, my personal favorite of the trio: Super Bounce. Into the Gloss calls it “Gatorade for your face” — aka, it’s great for hangovers. Actually, it’s just great for moisturizing dry, dehydrated skin, period, whether the cause is seasonal, travel, or alcohol-related. It’s formulated with skincare super-ingredient hyaluronic acid and vitamin B5 to give you soft, smooth skin.
Bonus: they’re wallet friendly, at $28 each or $65 for all three…which is like $21 per serum. And honestly, lots of other serums cost $65 on their own. aka it’s a STEAL. And, of course, if you’ve never bought Glossier before, you can get 20% off your first purchase when you use my link.
